The National Meteorological Agency of Ethiopia (NMA) has developed a comprehensive Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Curriculum in General Meteorology, designed to strengthen the nation’s professional capacity in atmospheric sciences. The curriculum, coordinated by the Meteorological Education and Training Directorate, provides advanced theoretical and practical training across key meteorological disciplines, including dynamical and physical meteorology, climatology, numerical weather prediction, hydrometeorology, satellite and radar meteorology, and environmental applications. This program aims to equip meteorologists with the analytical, technical, and operational skills needed to support evidence-based weather and climate services in Ethiopia and beyond.
