በትናንትናው ዕለት በምዕራብ፣ በምስራቅ፣ በሰሜን ምዕራብ፣ በመካከለኛዉ እና በደቡብ የሀገራችን አካባቢዎች ላይ የደመና ሽፋን ነበራቸው፡፡ ከዚሁም ጋር ተያይዞ በጅማ፣ ምዕራብ ጉጂ፣ አርሲ፣ ኢሉባቦር፣ ሆሮ ጉዱሩ፣ ምዕራብና ምስራቅ ወለጋ፣ ምዕራብ ሸዋ፣ ምዕራብ ሐረርጌ፤ ሰሜን ጎንደር፣ ምስራቅ ጎጃም፣ አዊ ዞን፣ መተከል፣ ጉራጌ እና አኝዋክ ዞኖች ከቀላል እስከ መካከለኛ መጠን ያለው ዝናብ ያገኙ ሲሆን፤ በ ቻግኒ 40.1 እና በጊዳ አያና 33.3 ሚሜ ከባድ መጠን ያለው ዝናብ ተመዝግቧል፡፡ በሌላ በኩል የቀኑ ከፍተኛ የሙቀት መጠን በፉኝዶ፣ በመልካ ጀብዱ፣ ማይሀንሳ፣ ድሬዳዋ፣ መሆኒ፣ መንደር11፣ መተማ፣ ጎዴ እና ቀብሪደሃር 35.2-41.0°C ሆኖ ተመዝግቧል፡፡

Yesterday there were cloudy patches over the western, eastern, northwestern, central and southern parts of our country. At the same time, light to moderate rainfall was reported in Jimma, West Guji, Arsi, Ilubabor, Horo Guduru, West and East Wollega, West Shewa, West Harerge, North Gondar, East Gojjam, Awi zone, Metekel, Gurage and Agnuak zones, with heavy rainfall measured at Chagni (40.1 mm) and Gida Ayana (33.3 mm). On the other hand, the day’s maximum temperatures were recorded as high in Fugnedo, Melka Jebdu, Mayhansa, Dire Dawa, Mehoni, Mender 11, Metema, Gode and Kebridahar, ranging from 35.2°C to 41.0°C.

Our forecasts indicate that weather conditions favorable for rainfall will continue tomorrow across the western, northwestern, eastern, northern, central and southern parts of the country. In connection with this, rain is expected in these zones of Oromia Region: Guji and Western Guji, Borena and Eastern Borena, Bale and Eastern Bale, Arsi and Western Arsi, Jimma, Ilubabor, Buno Bedelle, Horo Guduru, Kelem, Eastern and Western Wollega, South Western Wollega, Western and Northern Shewa, and Western and Eastern Harerge zones; Hareri. From the Southern Ethiopia Region: Wolayita, Gamo, Gofa, Basketo, Gedeo, Alle, Kore, Gardula, Burji, South Omo and Konso zones; all zones of Sidama Region. From Somali Region: Dawa, Liben, Nogob, Afder, Fafan, Korahe, Erer, Shebelle and Jarar zones. From the Central Ethiopia Region: Gurage, East Gurage, Mareko special zone, Silte, Mu special zone, Hadiya, Halaba, Kembata and Tembaro zones. From South West Ethiopia Peoples’ Region: Keffa, Sheka, Bench Sheko, Konta, Dawuro and West Omo zones. From Gambela Region: Agnuak and Majang zones. From Benishangul-Gumuz: Assosa, Metekel, Kamashi and Mao-Komo zones. From Amhara Region: West, North, South and Central Gondar, West and East Gojjam, Awi zone, North and South Wollo, the Oromia special zone, North Shewa and Wag Hemra. From Tigray Region: Central, Western and Northwestern zones. These areas will receive light to moderate rainfall, ranging from 1 to 29 mm in many places. In addition, heavy rainfall exceeding 30 mm within 24 hours is expected over Assosa, Kamashi and the eastern and western Wollega zones. On the other hand, in Semera, Elidar, Melka Jebdu, Addis Zemen, Mayhanssa, Mehoni, Aisha, Metema, Dallifage and Awash Arba, the daily maximum temperatures are recorded between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius.
