Yesterday, there was cloud cover across the northeast, northwest, central, south, and southwest parts of the country. In this regard, , light to moderate rainfall was recorded in Lalibela, Wegeltena, Mekane Selam, Nefas Mewicha, Gasay, Ebinat, Gondar, Shindi, Yetnora, Fiche, Shambu, Woliso, Sokoru, Jimma, Masha, Tercha, Wolaitasodo, Sawla, Jinka, Burj, and Konso. In addition, heavy rainfall exceeding 30 mm was recorded in Ariba Minch. On the other hand, in Gambella, Metema, Addis Zemen, Chewaka, Metehara, and Gode, high daily maximum temperatures ranging between 35°C - 40°C were recorded.

Tomorrow, widespread cloud cover and accumulation are expected over the southern half, central, northeastern, and eastern parts of the country, which correspond to the main and secondary Belg rainy seasons. Accordingly, light to moderate rainfall (1–29 mm) is expected in Guji and West Guji; Borena and East Borena; Bale and East Bale; Arsi and West Arsi; West and East Hararge; and the Southwest, East, and North Shewa zones of the Oromia region; Addis Ababa; Wolaita, Gamo, Gofa, Gedeo, Ale, Kore, Gardula, Burji, South Omo, and Konso zones of the Southern Ethiopia region; the Sidama region zones; Yem Special Zone, Gurage, Silte, Hadiya, Halaba, Kembata, and Tembaro zones of the Central Ethiopia region; Dawuro and West Omo zones of the Southwest Ethiopia region; North and South Wollo, North Shewa, East Gojam, and South Gondar zones of the Amhara region; the Eastern, Southeastern, and Southern zones of the Tigray region; Dawa, Liben, Fafen, Siti, Jarar, and Erer zones of the Somali region; and Kilbeti and Fanti zones of the Afar region. Additionally, due to strengthening weather systems, heavy rainfall exceeding 30 mm within 24 hours is expected in isolated areas of Guji, Borena, Bale, Arsi, West Arsi, and parts of the Sidama region zones. On the other hand, numerical forecast indicates that the daily maximum temperatures will range between 35°C and 40°C in Gambella, Fugnido, Abobo, Sherkole, Kumruk, Metema, Awash Arba, Elidar, Gewane, Gode, and Kebri Dehar.
