Yesterday, there was strong cloud cover over Kiremt rain benefiting areas of our country. In this regards, in Debark, Gondar, Shahura, Dangla, Motta, Yetnora, Nefasmewicha, Wegeltena, Combolcha, Cheffa, Bati, Wereilu, Alemketama, Sholagebeya, Chifra, Semera, Gewane, Awasharba, Gimbi, Chewaka, Arjo, Bedele, Shambu, Chira, Jimma, Sokoru, Ejaji, Kachise, Ambo, Woliso, Addis Ababa, Bishoftu, Metehara, Abomsa, Kulumsa, Batu, Arsi Robe, Bale Robe, Jara, Bore, Lange, Melekjbidu, Kurfachele, Harar, Dire Dawa, Gobiyere, Gambella, Mugi, Obomerga, Sibo, Yina, Maji, Emdibir, Hosanna, Werabe, Hawassa, Wolaitasodo, Bilate, Dilla, West Abaya, Jinka, Konso and Burj received light to moderate amount of rainfall. In addition, heavy rainfall exceeding 30 mm within a 24-hour was recorded in Bahir Dar, Mehalmeda, Enewari, Nekemte, Gatira, Adama, Nuraera, Gemelso, Meiso, Chelenko, Kulubi, Haramaya, Hirna, and Dengego.

Additionally, due to the intensifying weather events, in Tselemt, Asgedi, Tsimbla, Egela, Gazegibla, Lasta, Angot, Wadla, Habru, Werebabo, Bati, Ewa, Bidu, Elidar, Dewe, Harar, Gursum, Haramaya, Fedis, Girawa, Melk Baloo, Deder, Keresa (East Hararge), Dano, Gamache's, Mesala, Tulo, Habaro, Boka, Aseko, Merti, Arsi Negele, Shala, Shashemene, Kofele, Kokosa, Nensebo, Goba, Harenabuluk, Hawassa Zuriya, Bilate, Wondogenet, Malga, Odoshakiso, Dasench, Hamer, Tuliguled, Shabeely, and Goljano will experience heavy rainfall within a 24-hour that may result in flash flooding. Consequently, the Ethiopian Meteorological Institute advises the community and relevant Stakeholders to implement necessary precautions in the flood prone areas.
