Yesterday, the Kiremt rainfall benefiting parts of the country had strong cloud coverage and accumulation. In association with this, the north west, central, south, south east and east Tigray zones; north, south and central Gondar, west and east Gojjam, Awi, north and south Wollo and north Shewa zones; from the Afar region Gabi, Fanti, and Awusi zones; Jimma, Ilubabor, Horo Guduru, west and east Wellega, Buno Bedele, north, west and south west Shewa, Arsi, Bale, west and east Hararge, Borena and east Borena zones; Addis Ababa; Dire Dawa; Harar; Agnuak zone from Gambella region; from the Benshangul Gumuz region Metekel and Asossa zones; from the south west Ethiopia region Sheka Zone; from the central Ethiopia region Hadiya and Gurage zones; from the south Ethiopia region Wolaita zone; Sidama region zones and Somali region Fafen and Liban zones received light to moderate rainfall. In addition, heavy rainfall of more than 30 mm was recorded over Sinkata, Chagni, Yetnora, Mekane Salam, Bati, Gundomeskel and Shambu.

In addition, in Shiraro, Tselemt, Ebnat, Fogera, Laigaint, Elidar, Asayita, Zikuala, Sekota, Bugna, Dawunt, Saint, Desie Zuria, Yem special zone, Gibe, Adama Tullu; Jido Kombolcha, Alle and Dedesa will receive heavy rainfall of more than 30 mm in 24 hours. On the other hand, due to the intensifying weather events the south and southeast parts of the country will receive light to moderate rainfall.
