Yesterday, the Kiremt rainfall benefiting parts of the country had strong cloud coverage and accumulation. In association with this, the northwest, central, south and southeast Tigray zones; north, south and central Gondar, east and west Gojjam, Awi, north and south Wollo, north Shewa and Waghemra zones; Awusi zone from the Afar region; from the Benishangul Gumuz region Asossa and Metekel zones; Jimma, Ilubabor, Buno Bedele, Horo Guduru, west and east Wellega, north, west, south west and east Shewa, west Guji, Borena, Arsi, Bale, west and east Hararge zones; Addis Ababa; Dire Dawa; from the southwest Ethiopia region Bench Sheko, Sheka and Dawuro zones; from the central Ethiopian region Hadiya, Gurage and Silte zones; from the south Ethiopia region Wolaita, Gofa, Gamo and south Omo Zones; Sidama region Zones and from Somali region Fafen and Korahe zones received light to moderate rainfall. In addition, heavy rainfall of more than 30 mm was recorded over Atsebi, Sirinka, Wegeltena, Chifra, Enewari, Yetnora, Fiche, Nekemte, Arjo, Aira, Jinka, Girawa and Kulubi.

In line with this, the western, central, northwestern, southeastern, southern and eastern zones of the Tigray region; from the Amhara region west, north, south and central Gondar, west and east Gojjam, Awi zone, north and south Wollo, Oromo ethnic special zone, north Shewa and Waghemra Zones; from the Afar region Kilbeti, Gabi, Fanti, Awusi and Hari zones; from the Benishangul Gumuz region Asossa, Mao Komo and Kamash zones; from the Oromia region Jimma, Ilubabor, Buno Bedele, west and east Wellega, Horo Guduru Wellega, Kelam Wellega, southwest, east, north and west Shewa, Guji and west Guji, Arsi and west Arsi, Bale and east Bale, west and east Hararge zones; Addis Ababa; Dire Dawa; Harar; from the Gambella region Agnuwak, Nuwer, Itang and Majang zones; from the southwest Ethiopia region Bench Sheko, Sheka, Kefa, Konta, west Omo and Dawuro zones; from the central Ethiopia region Gurage, Silte, Halaba, Hadiya, Yem special zone, Kambata and Tembaro Zones; from the south Ethiopia region Wolaita, Gofa, Gamo, Basketo, Derashe, Amaro, south Omo and Gedeo zones; all zones of Sidama region and from the Somali region of Siti, Fafen, Jarar, Korahe, Erer, Shebelle and Nogob zones will receive light to moderate (1-29 mm) rainfall in many places. In addition, in Atsibi, Abergele, Sahartisamri, Alamata, Chercher, Abiala, Dalol, Chifra, Awuraa, Dalifagi, Elidar, Asayita, Lasta, Dawunt, Mekdella, Kelela, Wegdi, Simada, Enemay, Motta, Gozaman, Denbecha, Ankasha, Bulen, Mao Komo, Kamash, Gambella, Dima, Gidami, Sibusire, Digga, Gutogida, Bako, Nono, Ejere, Wenchi, Tole, Ada’a, Gimbichu, Chole, Anchar, Dire Dawa, Haromaya, Mettu, Bedele, Limuseka, Yeki, Sheka, Chena and Maji will receive heavy rainfall of more than 30 mm in 24 hours. On the other hand, the south and southeast parts of the country will receive light to moderate rain due to the strengthening of accumulation clouds.
