The climate–health assessment indicates low to moderate climatic suitability for malaria transmission across several Kiremt-benefiting areas during the first dekad of July 2026, with similar conditions expected in the second dekad. Heat stress is likely to persist in the lowland areas of Afar, Gambela, Somali, South Ethiopia, and Western Amhara, posing risks to both human health and livestock. Strengthened disease surveillance, vector control, heat-health preparedness, and timely dissemination of climate-health information are essential to reduce potential health impacts and support effective early warning and response.
