Light to heavy rainfall is expected over Tigray, Amhara, Benshangul-Gumuz, Gambella, Central Ethiopia region, Southwest Ethiopia region, South Ethiopia region, Western, Central, Southern highlands and Eastern Oromia, Northern Somali, Afar, Sidama and Eastern parts of the country.

Heavy and extremely heavy (ranking in the top 10–1%) rainfall is expected over Western Tigray, Amhara, Afar, South Ethiopia region , Central Ethiopia region, Southwest Ethiopia region, Benshangul-Gumuz, Gambella, Northern Somali, Western, Central and Eastern Oromia and Eastern parts of the country. Heavy and extremely heavy rainfall is likely to lead to flooding in flood-prone areas like Awash, Omo Gibe, Denakil and Abbay basins and adjoining districts.

Heavy and extremely heavy (ranking in the top 10–1%) rainfall is expected over Central and Souther Tigray, Amhara, Afar, Southwest Ethiopia region, Benshangul-Gumuz, Gambella, Northern Somali, Western, Central and Eastern Oromia and Eastern parts of the country. Heavy and extremely heavy rainfall is likely to lead to flooding in flood-prone areas like Awash, Denakil and Abbay basins and adjoining districts.
