Based on the climate-health analysis for October, it has been observed that there were low to moderately suitable climate conditions for the breeding and transmission of malaria in the western half, eastern half, and southern half of the country. Similarly, over the next 10 days of November 2024, the first dekade, the western half, and the south and central-eastern half of the country will continue to experience expanded suitable conditions for the breeding and development of mosquitoes.
In terms of climate comfortability conditions, most parts of the country have experienced pleasant conditions for both humans and livestock. Looking ahead to the next 10 days of November 1st dekade, the low-lying border areas of the country, especially Afar, southern Somalia, South Ethiopia, and the western Amhara region, will experience moderate heat stress, which will affect both humans and cattle.
