In the coming third dekad of December 2025, the expected light to moderate moisture particularly in the first five days of the dekad over south and south east parts which are in their second rainy season (Bega) will have a positive contribution on the water needs of Bega crops which sown earlier and the provision of pasture and drinking water as well as will have a good opportunity to collect and store rain water over pastoral and semi-pastoral areas. On the other hand, the expected occasional unseasonal rain particularly at the beginning of the dekad may disrupt the on-going harvest and post-harvest activities over some places, including western half, central, eastern and north-eastern parts of the country. Thus, harvest and post-harvest activities should be undertaken on time in order to avoid unnecessary harvest and post-harvest loses.
