Water and Climate Change Services for Africa (WACCA)
The Water and Climate Change Services for Africa (WACCA) project in Ethiopia, running from 2017 to 2020, focuses on enhancing climate and water information services. It aims to address capacity gaps by improving skills in weather forecasting, early warning systems, and the communication of climate and hydrological information.
The project seeks to improve the production and delivery of data and services from Ethiopian authorities to stakeholders, contributing to the development of a robust infrastructure for credible weather and climate information in Ethiopia. This initiative is directed towards strengthening the resilience and sustainable livelihoods of the Ethiopian population.
