Dr. Abdullah Al Manduos President of the WMO, gave a speech at the International Hydro Met Conference

The first International Hydro Met conference hosted by Ministry of Water and Energy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia was held from 4-5 November 2024 at Hilton Hotel, Addis Ababa Ethiopia. In this very important event World Meteorological Organization president, H.E. Dr. Abdullah Al Maldos, gave an opening speech.

The President appreciated the great work which Ethiopia is doing for green legacy initiative and stated that covering the land with billions of tree has a significant contribution to improving water resources and environmental resilience.

H.E. Dr. Abdullah Al Mandous also said World Meteorological Organization has been for front for advancing Hydro Meteorological services International Corporation. He also addresses that WMO is very committed to provide standard services in provision water, climate services and capacity building to improve water resources management globally.
