During the previous dkade, the rainfall amount and distribution when compared to the climatological average, Benshangul-Gumuz, western, Eastern and Kelem Welega, Gambela, Iluababora, Guji and Borena, Kaffa, Sheka, Bench-Maji, Southern Omo and Segen peoples observed Normal and Above normal rain. Whereas the remaining parts of the country had Below Normal. In the upcoming dekade, rains giving meteorological systems are likely to enhance in particular over the southern half. In addition, Eastern and Central Ethiopia are anticipated to encounter unseasonal rain during the forecast period.  Back to List |
