In the month of February except lower Omo Gibe and south eastern BaroAkobo most catchments were remained under dry condition. In March most parts of Belg benefiting catchments were received rainfall. The moisture performances of April were observed most parts of eastern Genale Dawa, Omo Gibe, Rift Valley, upper and middle Wabishebele, pocket areas of northern Afar Denakel and upper Tekeze, middle Awash and some parts of eastern BaroAkobo were experienced in wet condition. During May in south western Abay, most parts of Baro Akobo, lower and middle Rift Valley and Omo Gibe, upper and middle parts of Genale Dawa and Wabishebele were experienced wet condition. Mean while lower Awash, Western half of Abay and Tekeze mostly remained dry to semi dry condition. The maximum moisture index value was observed over Genale Dawa and Wabishebele basins. The occurrence of heavy fall in this season was observed over many catchments during March to May. In general Belg 2013 season rainfall performance had good contribution for the supply of water for different economic sector.
