During February-March 2017, much of Tigray, Amhara, Gambela and SNNPR, Benshangul-Gumuz, Afar, Dire- Dawa and northern Somali and western, central, eastern and southern highlands of Oromia received normal to above normal. The rest parts of the nation exhibited below normal rainfall.
In the coming two months, the rain bearing weather system will enhance over belg growing areas as compare to the privies two months. As result, near normal rainfall expected over much of belg rain benefiting areas of the nation.
