Kiremt is the long season that fulfills the water requirement of long cycle crops which are planted in the months of April-May and Meher crops that achieve maturity during the Bega season.In addition to the Kiremt rain, the Belg season rainfall amount and distriburtion during the months of April and May has significant impact on the performance of cycle crops (maize and sorghum).
