Monthly Hydro-meteorlogical

The moisture performance of February had shown better moisture performance over Belg rain benefiting catchments of north eastern and some of south western catchments. Accordingly the divide places of upper parts of Tekeze, Afar Denakel, middle Awash and eastern Abay and the divide of eastern Baro Akobo and middle parts of western OmoGibe catchments were performed wet condition. Most parts of Awash, eastern half of Tekeze, middle Afar Denakel, some parts of upper Wabishebele, eastern half of Abay, upper and middle Rift Valley and most of OmoGibe catchments were preformed humid to semi humid weather condition. The rest parts of the main river basins were dominated under dry and semi dry condition.

In the coming month of March over upper BaroAkobo, southern and eastern half of Abay, upper and middle Awash, upper and middle Rift Valley, upper Wabishebele, upper and middle GenaleDawa, upper Tekeze and most of OmoGibe catchments will receive different amount of rainfall. In some places of over those catchments will be expected heavy fall. During this month due to increasing of daily temperature the loss of water due to evaporation will be high. According to this we advise to be care for proper use of water and care for open to sunshine and wind.
