Monthly Hydro-meteorlogical

The moisture performance of February was insignificant over all river basins. While some places of eastern Abay, middle OmoGibe, lower Rift Valley, middle Awash, upper Wabishebele and lower GenaleDawa catchments were preformed humid to semi humid weather condition. The occurrence of heavy fall during February was observed in some station across southern and north eastern catchments. Stations which received heavy fall were observed over the middle Awash, south eastern Genaledawa and lower Rift valley catchments. The rest parts of the main river basins were dominated under dry and sunny weather condition.

In the next March upper and middle Awash, most parts of upper and middle Wabishebele, upper Baroakobo, middle and upper Tekeze, central and eastern Abay, Ogaden, OmoGibe, Rift Valley and GenaleDawa will be expected to receive light to moderate amount of rainfall. In addition to this over the above catchments can be occur heavy fall over some station. The rest lower catchments of main basins will be dominated under dry sunny and warm weather condition.
