Monthly Hydro-meteorlogical

The moisture performance of January was insignificant over all river basins. While across the divide areas of Omogibe and Baro Akobo, pocket places of eastern Tekeze and Afar Denakel, middle Rift Valley and Genale dawa and eastern OmoGibe catchments were preformed humid to semi humid weather condition. The rest parts of the main river basins were dominated under dry and sunny weather condition. The occurrence of heavy fall during January was observed in some station across south western catchments. Stations which received heavy fall were observed over the divide of eastern BaroAkobo and middle OmoGibe catchments.

In the normal condition after mid February Belg season rain is starting in most parts of Belg rain benefiting catchments. According to this upper and middle Awash, upper OmoGibe, upper Wabishebele, eastern half of Abay, upper and middle Rift Valley and upper BaroAkobo will expected to have different amount of rainfall. In the other hand the daily temperature will be increased across the middle and lower parts of all catchments. To minimize the scarcity of water we have to apply different water harvesting mechanism at time of raining.
