Monthly Agrometeorologicals

In general, February 2016 due to the pesence of cloudy weathern condition over south Wollo, north Shewa, Addis Ababa, Segen peoples, Jimma, Keffa and Benchi-Maji received from 25-70mm amount of rainfall for 4-6 days. Also north and south Tigray, north and south Wollo, Afar zone3 and 3 east and north Shewa, Addis Ababa, Arsi, Bale, Dire Dawa and Hareri zone were received 5-25 mm amount of rainfall for 2-4 days. The observed rainfall have positive impact to enhances pasture and drinking water for pastoralist and agro-pastoralist areas of the country. This obtained rainfall in month was taken as a good opportunity for whose accumulate water by using different mechanism.

In the coming March 2016, rain bearing meteorological phenomena will prevail and the Belg rainfall start after half of the month over western portion of SNNPR and south parts of the country. This situation will expected cover over all of Belg rainfall beneficiaries. This expected moisture might have positive impacts for early land preparation, perennial plants, for animals water requirement satisfaction will taken as a good opportunity.
