Hydrometeorological outlook for Kiremt 2011

Seasonal Hydro-meteorlogical

For the coming Kiremt season, moisture performance in upper stream of all main River basins, except middle and lower Genale Dawa and Wabi Shebele, lower Awash and lower Rift Valley expected to get wet condition. All Reservoirs and Dams have a better chance in order to capture water in the season. Extreme events like the occurrence of heavy falls over Kiremt rain benefiting basins expected to occur. Moreover, there should be occurrence of flood and land slide over flood prone areas of the country. Hence, we advice care and precautious measures should be taken to minimize loss of life and property due to extreme events.
