During the second dekade of February 2019, dry, Sunny and windy weather condition prevailed over most parts of the country. However, rain bearing meteorological phenomenon gradually strengthened from day to day over most part of Belg growing areas. In line with this south-western, western Oromia, SNNPR, Amhara, some parts of eastern and southern Tigray and southern parts of Afar experienced slight to heavy rainfall particularly Combolcha, Srinka, Ayder, and Mekele station recorded heavy fall 69.3, 28.6, 40.8 and 36.2 mm respectively in one rainy day.
