In the coming kiremt 2018, kiremt benefiting catchments are expected to get Normal to Above normal rainfall amount. Having this, northern part of Abay and lower part of Tekeze expected to get Normal rainfall, most part of Baro Akobo, centeral to lower Omogibe, Riftvally, upper Genale Dawa and Wabishebele catchments are expected to get Normal to above normal Rainfall whereas most part of Abay, Centeral to upper Tekeze, Afar Denakil, Awash, upper part of OmoGibe and Rift valley catchments are anticipated to receive dominantly above normal rainfall. Kiremt 2018 season is anticipated to be wet and thus, heavy falls are expected over most part of Kiremt benefiting catchments. Therefore, responsible bodies have to be aware of this situation in the coming Kiremt season and get prepared to consume the water resources and manage the possible damages. During the coming kiremt season, flash flood, river flood and landslide are highly anticipated. Therefore, community situated at the downstream and lowland areas have to be ready to tackle the expected damages on time.
